At the start of the part two drive you will be asked to to read a number plate from a distance of:
You must use glasses or contact lenses during the whole test if you need them to read the number plate.
You will fail the test if you don’t pass the eyesight test and will count as one of the 3 attempts you’re allowed at the ADI part 2 test.
You will be asked 5 vehicle safety questions which are also known as ‘show me, tell me’ questions.
The examiner will ask you:
If you answer all five questions incorrectly this is considered a serious fault and would result in you failing the whole test.

The training and preparation for this part of the qualification process is all carried out in-car, on a one to one basis.
The ‘average’ number of hours differs from person to person, but 10-12 hours with a trainer is normally sufficient.
We will advise you on how to improve your standard of driving to a high level which will enable you to pass the part two test,
We advise that you consolidate your learning by practicing what you have been shown whenever you are driving independently.
